Lebanon Transit is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards as required under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
Lebanon Transit is actively working toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard required under ADA Title II for state and local government entities. This website was built using an accessibility-focused framework and includes the Ally accessibility widget, which allows users to adjust contrast, font size, keyboard navigation, and other display settings to better meet their individual needs.
We have conducted reviews using the WAVE accessibility evaluation tool and are in the process of engaging a third-party accessibility firm to perform a formal audit and remediation.
We may revise this statement periodically to reflect improvements or changes to our accessibility practices.
Known Limitations
While we work toward full conformance, the following limitations are currently known:
- Some PDF documents linked on this site, including route schedules and service maps, may not yet fully meet PDF accessibility standards. We are actively inventorying and remediating these documents.
- The embedded social media feed on our homepage pulls content from a third-party platform. Some images within that feed may lack adequate alternative text. We are evaluating options to resolve this.
