This position reports to the Shared Ride Program Supervisor.

Lebanon Transit has an immediate opening for full time & part time van drivers. Shifts will run Tuesday – Saturday. Basic physical requirements will include but not limited to assisting customers with packages on and off vehicles and properly securing wheelchairs. Excellent customer service skills and DOT Physical required. This is an all-weather conditions position.

Starting wage is $17.45/hr.

This position reports to the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor.

Immediate opening for a Vehicle Mechanic. As a Lebanon Transit Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing LT buses, vans, and non-revenue vehicles. You will also be responsible for performing adjustments, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance as well as rotating/changing tires and greasing and lubricating vehicles and machinery as necessary. In addition, you will be performing Pennsylvania State Vehicles Inspections, road tests, service checks, and any associated paperwork with these responsibilities. This is a 2nd Shift Position that runs from 4:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Wage will be determined based upon certifications, qualifications, & experience.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in vehicle repair and maintenance; experience with diesel engines preferred
  • A Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger endorsement and Air Brake Restrictions lifted or the ability to obtain one within 180 days of employment
  • A United States Department of Transportation Medical Certification (Failure to maintain a physical will result in termination of employment.)
  • An Air Conditioning Certification License or the ability to obtain one as directed by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor
  • A Class 7 Pennsylvania State Inspection License or the ability to obtain one as directed by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor
  • The ability to complete reports and work orders using a computer
  • Knowledge of computer-driven automotive diagnostic software (Required)
  • The ability to read and understand technical guidance related to vehicle and equipment repair
  • The ability to effectively communicate in and follow oral/written instructions that are provided in English
  • A set of your own tools
  • The ability to use and care for Lebanon Transit tools and equipment
  • The ability to work with little or no supervision for prolonged periods of time
  • A high school education with a vehicle maintenance background; trade or technical school preferred
  • Availability to work alternating Saturdays, with one day off during the week, to work overtime when requested, and to work when otherwise required by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor (or Senior Mechanic)

This position reports to the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor.

Lebanon Transit has an immediate opening for the position of Building and Grounds Maintenance Person. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, general maintenance and overall appearance of all Lebanon Transit facilities. Duties include but are not limited to mowing, plowing snow, pulling and spraying weeds, electrical, plumbing, and other duties as required in the job description or as assigned by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor. This position is a Monday through Friday position. Overtime may be required including Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays.

Starting wage is $17.00/hr. with annual pay increases.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid Class C  Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • High school education preferred
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and follow oral/written directions that are given in English
  • Must have own basic hand tools
  • Ability to follow directions and perform light maintenance duties
  • Ability to complete reports using a computer
  • Ability to use and care for LT tools and equipment
  • Availability to work some Saturdays as required due to scheduling and to work overtime when requested by the Maintenance and Building Procurement Supervisor.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with the best interests of Lebanon Transit in mind
  • Must hold and maintain a current Department of Transportation physical
  • Must be capable of lifting objects usually no more than 75 lbs. in weight but occasionally more than 100 lbs.
  • Must be capable of exerting in more than 20 lbs. of force constantly, 50 lbs. of force frequently, and in excess of 100 lbs. of force occasionally to use necessary tools and move objects

This position reports to the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor.

As a Bus Detailer for Lebanon Transit, you will be responsible for daily cleaning of all LT buses and vans by washing the exterior, sweeping and mopping the interiors, washing windows, and cleaning dashboards. You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of LT equipment, facilities, terminal, and satellite facilities. These duties include, but are not limited to, tasks such as general cleaning of bus shelters, landscaping, spreading/removing oil removing materials, sweeping and washing garage floors, and clearing sludge and buildup from floor drains. You may also be asked to perform additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor.

Starting wage is $15.98/hr.

Candidates should have:

  • A valid Class C Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
  • A set of their own basic hand tools.
  • The ability to effective communicate in and follow oral/written directions in English.
  • The ability to complete reports using a computer.
  • The ability to use and care for LT tools and equipment.
  • Some Saturday and overtime availability as requested by the Maintenance & Building Procurement Supervisor.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with the best interests of Lebanon Transit in mind
  • Must hold and maintain a current Department of Transportation physical

Lebanon Transit Shared Ride has an immediate position for a full-time, Monday – Friday with an alternate Saturday, dispatcher and scheduler.

Starting wage is $15.00/hr based upon qualifications.

Candidates should have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Job Description: * Answer dispatch line for cancellations, customer information, etc.
  • Check all routes for efficiency and reallocate trips from overloaded routes.
  • Communicate with clinics/customers to inform them of the status of van arrivals/departures.
  • Answer customer calls to schedule trips throughout the day.
  • Become knowledgeable with all programs available; takes reservations for all agencies.
  • Cash handling
