Student Fare Card Policy Changes

Lebanon Transit announces Student Fare policy changes

April 2, 2025

Lebanon Transit announced today that it is changing how it administers its Student Fare Card program on all Fixed Route buses. Effective immediately, students will no longer be required to show drivers a colored Lebanon Transit Student Fare Card to receive the reduced fare of $1.00. Instead, students will only have to show drivers their current school-issued ID card. Students who do not have a school-issued ID may still receive a Student Fare Card directly from Lebanon Transit. Proof of current enrollment, such as a signed letter from the school, is still required.

Additionally, the student fare will be honored all year long, including over the summer, which is another change from the previous policy.

“We believe that loosening our student fare policies will open up more economic opportunities for the young adults of Lebanon County, especially those working summer jobs” said executive director Angie Luciotti.

Students must be actively enrolled in a K-12 school, college or university, or trade school, and may receive the reduced fare regardless of when or where they ride the bus.

Customers with questions about these changes may call into the Lebanon Transit main office at (717) 274-3664, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
